Since 2006 MCS Coca-Cola has provided continuous support for the development of basketball, investing MNT 3.6 billion in the sport over that period. In 2018 the company awarded MNT 20 million to the national team that made Mongolia’s name in the history of 3x3 basketball and opened a brand-new chapter in the history of team sports in the country, helping the Mongolian 3x3 basketball team win the honored titles of Asian champion and one of the world’s top eight teams.
The company also brought the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour to Mongolia for the first time, highlighting Mongolia’s standing around the world and delivering its social responsibility in another form. In previous years the Top 100 Enterprises were selected on the basis of taxes paid, sales revenue, number of employees, profit and assets; from this year, corporate social responsibility has also been taken into account alongside those indicators.
MCS Coca-Cola has practiced corporate social responsibility since the day it was founded, and it considers it essential that its public initiatives for the common good — and the donations and sponsorship that deliver them — are friendly to the environment and beneficial to people and society. In 2018 the company donated funds to refurbish the kitchen at the National Cancer Center, where patients recovering from liver transplant surgery require specially prepared therapeutic meals.
Every year the company provides environmentally friendly biodegradable waste bags free of charge to the administrations of specially protected areas, in order to protect fresh water resources and improve waste management so as to reduce pollution of the natural environment. It also provides continuous support for student education, public health and vulnerable social groups.
