Reducing the Impact of Climate Change

As part of its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, MCS Coca-Cola is implementing the following measures across every area of its operations.

Environmentally friendly gas-fired steam boiler

In 2021, together with MCS International, MCS Coca-Cola commissioned a smokeless steam boiler that has completely phased out raw coal.

As part of our policy of supporting sustainable development, we joined the effort to reduce air pollution and to leave an ecologically balanced environment for future generations, investing a total of USD 4.5 million in the smokeless steam boiler. The boiler reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 4,783 tonnes every year.

Electric Delivery Vehicle

From 2025 we introduced electric delivery vehicles into our product distribution operations. Compared with conventional vehicles they are more energy-efficient and cost less to run.

We commissioned a new warehouse powered by renewable energy. More than 370 solar panels on its roof convert sunlight into electricity, cutting energy costs while reducing our environmental impact — an important step in support of sustainability.

Our forklift trucks used to run on LPG. Since our new warehouse opened in 2014 we have had a battery charging area and now run the fleet on batteries, bringing significant benefits for the environment, the ozone layer and greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of our commitment to environmentally responsible operations, we began importing coolers and supplying them to customers in 2006, and have worked continuously since then to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions step by step. From 2013 we started placing coolers in the market that run on CO₂ — with no impact on the ozone layer and no greenhouse gas emissions.

We select energy-efficient equipment for our new packaging lines. From Krones of Germany, a world leader in food-processing equipment, we have sourced and installed equipment that saves energy in both bottle blowing and motor drives.
