Coca-Cola’s secret formula lies in its quality system. Producing a quality product means not only that every task performed and every product made meets the standard, but also that the safety of our people is assured and that we operate without harming the environment.
Around the world our products are recognized as high in quality and genuinely refreshing, and everyone working within the Coca-Cola system repays that trust through their effort. Quality is the foundation of our success — we carry forward the golden rule of “a perfect product you can trust, wherever you buy it.”
What distinguishes Coca-Cola’s quality standard is that every stage — from the suppliers of raw and auxiliary materials right through to the moment the product reaches the consumer’s table — must meet its requirements. It rests on three pillars: food safety, environmental responsibility and occupational safety.
Since 2009 our company has implemented international quality management systems across its operations, undergoing audits and being certified every year.
The staff of MCS Coca-Cola’s in-house control laboratory are tested and validated through a proficiency testing program. Sensory evaluation is carried out quarterly and microbiological testing annually, through providers in the United Kingdom. Physico-chemical and microbiological testing is carried out once a year by the independent Asia Pacific Technical Center laboratory in Shanghai, which also assesses the proficiency of our analysts.
The Coca-Cola representative office in Mongolia purchases products at random from the market and sends them for detailed quality and safety analysis to the independent Asia Pacific Technical Center laboratory in Shanghai, China. As our plant falls within the “low risk” category, the Capital City Specialized Inspection Agency and the national occupational health and safety laboratory test our raw materials, packaging and finished products every year and issue a state inspector’s conclusion.
Mongolia’s National Reference Laboratory for Food Safety carries out microbiological and chemical testing twice a year and assesses the proficiency of our chemists and microbiologists. Our full chemical and microbiological laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2018 (MNS ISO/IEC 17025:2007) and has had its operations certified.
All process water used in production is tested and certified by SGS laboratories in Germany and in Shanghai, China, while our carbon dioxide is tested by the Gas Quality Supervision & Inspection Center for the Chemical Industry in Dalian, China.
