The Coca-Cola Company is an official partner of FIFA, and as part of that partnership it has taken the World Cup Trophy on tour since 2006. This is the fourth such tour. The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, staged by The Coca-Cola Company in more than 50 countries, arrives in Ulaanbaatar on April 23 and will visit two venues in the city. We invite all football fans to come and witness this historic event.
On that day, at the pitch of the Mongolian Football Federation, the President of Mongolia will receive the Trophy with full honors and have photographs taken with the national team, and Mongolian players will hold an open match during the event. Afterwards, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shangri-La Mall, MCS Coca-Cola will give loyal football fans the chance to see the trophy awarded to the winners of the World Cup with their own eyes, take photographs with it and feel as if they were at the greatest and most eagerly awaited sporting celebration in the world.
The tour began in Russia in September 2017 and, over nine months ahead of the World Cup that starts in June 2018, will cover a total of 126,000 km across more than 50 countries on six continents.

About the FIFA World Cup Trophy
The original World Cup Trophy is held by FIFA and is passed to the winners of the World Cup. The current design of the Trophy dates from 1974. It is made of solid gold, weighs 6.142 kg and features two human figures holding up the globe. As the symbol and icon of the world’s most popular sport, only the winners of the World Cup and the teams made up of heads of state receiving it on the Trophy Tour are permitted to hold and touch it. FIFA’s regulations state that the World Cup Trophy must remain in FIFA’s own possession and may not be given away as a winner’s prize. The winners of the FIFA World Cup therefore hold a replica temporarily and are later awarded a replica trophy to keep permanently.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has described the World Cup Trophy as follows: “There is no more powerful symbol in world sport.” He added: “Everyone recognizes the World Cup Trophy as a symbol of unity. We are delighted to be working with The Coca-Cola Company to bring football’s icon to its fans all over the world.”
The Coca-Cola Company first became an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup in 1978 and has since worked in long-term partnership with the organization, providing long-standing support and sponsorship for football competitions at every level.
