Mongolian athletes have completed their preparations and are ready to travel to Austria for the Special Olympics World Winter Games on the 14th to 25th of this month. Fourteen athletes from Mongolia will compete in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and floorball.
Mongolian athletes have completed their preparations and are ready to travel to Austria for the Special Olympics World Winter Games, held on the 14th to 25th of this month. Fourteen athletes from Mongolia will compete in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and floorball.
The Special Olympics aims to encourage people with intellectual disabilities through sporting competition, to develop their physical fitness, and to show the public and society that they are citizens with the same rights as everyone else.
We sponsored the sportswear and equipment for the athletes competing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games, and welcomed and sent off the team with our best wishes for success. Around 300 athletes from 107 countries will compete in nine winter sports at the Games, alongside 1,100 coaches, 3,000 volunteers, 1,200 honored guests, 5,000 family members and supporters, and some 800 representatives of national parliaments and governments.
