MCS Coca-Cola Triples Its Capacity and Opens a New Plant

On July 2, 2009, MCS Coca-Cola successfully opened its new plant.

MCS Coca-Cola began operations in 2001, commissioning a plant with the capacity to fill beverages into returnable glass bottles and becoming the first member of the Coca-Cola family in Mongolia; in 2004 it expanded that line and commissioned a plastic bottle filling line.

This time, the newly built plant has three lines with the capacity to produce and fill beverages, purified water, juice and tea at the same time. Where the old plant could produce 18,000 bottles of beverage an hour, the new plant has three times that capacity and can produce 150,000 tonnes of water, beverages, juice and tea a year.

The plant has three main lines.

• A line producing and filling carbonated beverages in plastic bottles, with the capacity to produce 400 bottles of 500 ml a minute
• A line producing and filling carbonated beverages in glass bottles, with the capacity to produce 300 bottles of 250 ml a minute
• A line producing and filling water, juice and tea, with the capacity to produce 300 bottles of 500 ml of still beverages a minute

Our new plant opened in Amgalan, Bayanzurkh District.
